New & Selected Summer Radio Series brought community radio listeners and visitors to this website a selection of interviews with and performances by an intriguing range of Australian poets.
All our projects will have a community radio broadcast component in 2008.
The material has been collected since 2002, when we first broadcast to community radio listeners in Sydney’s eastern and inner-west suburbs.
The Summer series treats your poetry ears to conversations with poets such as Jane Gibian performing for the first time on radio.
Many of the poets profiled in 2002 have gone on to be some of the country’s most active writers and members of the literary community.
Also included in our series are interviews with writers such as Geoffrey Atherden, Mireille Juchau and Ashley Hay.
Now, Red Room’s audio material broadcasts nationally and the poets are recorded at a private studio in Sydney and live at public events.
In December 2007 our new series will be broadcast over the community radio satellite.
The series consists of four, fifteen minute shows, broadcast weekly.
